Yesterday after a delicious lunch at Il Buco, I went to Oak. I spent 2 hours, yes, dragging my boyfriend & sis as I couldn't make a decision on these amazing items. It's hard when a store has literally everything you'd want in your dream closet.

I bought the GAR-DE trench jacket above & LOVE it.
But can't get these other items out of my mind, especially the Wayne Hooded Jacket.

It's no wonder Sophie Theallet won this year's CFDA awards.

Generous with vintage lace and pleats, and punctuated with a palate of white, black, and
splashes of bold colors, her dresses were simple, effortlessly beautiful, globally-conscious and ethereal. Smart and sensible, these dresses are perfect for a night out on the town, a cocktail affair, or a really, really important first date.

The dress reminiscent of a wedding gown, shown above, closed the collection and was one of my favorites.
I could totally see myself wearing that for my own wedding--just as I could see myself wearing just about
everything in her Spring 2011 collection. After seeing her red dress I'm on the hunt for the perfect LRD!
I was amazed to see the legendary Bill Cunningham present as well.

Backstage, (thanks, Sophie Elgort!) I saw the gorgeous (and very ethnically diverse) models
styled with simple topknots, ponytails and Frida Kahlo-inspired red lipstick.

A graduate of FIT, Daniel Nieto won the Excellence in Footwear Design, Next Generation Awards in 2010. Daniel’s pieces epitomizes the art of design. He uses leathers, skins, spikes, metals, furs, gems, and horns in avant-garde ways. I have to admit, from all the designers showcased at Colombian Lux Event, I was most captivated by Daniel's work. To boot, he's super super sweet :)The next day I came by & visited him during his photo shoot. He's going places.

Sophie Elgort & I did the P.R. for the Colombian Luxury Event in August at the Altman Building--an amazing 2-day event attended by our favorite fashion-forward friends.

Upon entrance, guests were greeted by a spectacle of twenty chrome mannequins dressed in Colombian high fashion by some of the country’s most prominent designers and adorned with handcrafted jewelry by designer Mercedes Salazar. Large, captivating images by Colombian photographers, including Carlos Ruiz, cascaded from the ceiling as the crowd mingled.

The event showcased a series of three fashion shows by: Pitahaya Swimwear, Silvia Alfonzo & Edwing D’Angelo. In between the fashion shows, Latin Grammy-Nominated Colombian musician, Andres Cabas performed to an enthusiastic crowd.

This magical, dreamy Victorian home was an old hunting cabin in the Catskills.
Ms. Foster built it almost entirely herself & renovated it for a total of a mere $3,000
with shabby chic vintage treasure troves.Her husband lives down the hill, across the creek in a
trailer home because he is 'too messy'. Meanwhile, she has built this little gingerbread sanctuary for herself.
It goes to show that a house doesn't have to be big to be absolutely beautiful.

This is my dream home--only (at the risk of sounding spoiled,)
I'd like a bathroom, heating & plumbing & would love it to be in Italy.

Honestly, $300-345 for Pamela Love's versus 25 Euros. Same goes for the coveted raven skull necklace that everyone & their mother is wearing these days. Only thing I'd do is replace the chain. Went to C'est Magnifique on Macdougal today to reunite with my coveted (& fixed!) Pamela Love earrings & the newest addition to my ring collection: a silver skull ring with prosthetic eye. Notorious for these 'third eye' rings, C'est Magnifique customized them all the time, but due to the rising cost of prosthetic eyes, haha, they're currently out & looking for ways to restock. The rings that johnny depp wears religiously are from this amazing shop--definitely worth a visit.

My dad had a prosthetic eye & though it was obviously a heavy matter, he always played tricks with it to make others laugh. Sooo, this ring is in ode of my dad. I might get his initials inscribed.

These are perfect for tights, jeans, minis, whatever. To boot, the long, industrial zippers on these are amazing. mini market ones are long sold out (EXCEPT one retailer has ONE left in my size, but at a whopping $400..) What to do?!? fskjfjdsfs

JC's 'Pixie' is restocked, but on backorder here for $172, obviously a much better price point that's more accessible to most of us, BUT they're suede & the rugged sole on the mini market ones make the shoe in my opinion. At $200+ less, they may be well worth it. Of course they don't have my size.
